Client Highlight: Carl’s Cars

Oct 5, 2017

When Carl stops by the office, it’s a bright spot in our day. He’s friendly, has a great mustache, and brings us presents like fresh fruit from his property. Originally from Corbin, Kentucky, Carl served in the Marine Corp before he moved onto a career with Caterpillar. Also, we discovered Carl has a knack for cars, so we asked him to come in and tell us more.

“I’ve been a car guy my whole life. Being into cars kept my kids at home and occupied when they were teenagers. We worked on all our own cars and we would also buy cars and fix them up.”

He pulled up looking sharp in his 45th edition 2012 Camaro –

and also brought us pictures of cars he’s worked on in the past.

“This one’s the ’50 Mercury. We called it the Lead Sled. It was hard to drive because the top was chopped and the there wasn’t much windshield to see out of!”

And there was the ’49 Ford –

And here’s a throwback picture with Carl and a ’67 Chevelle Supersport SS and a ’70 and a half Pontiac Firebird –

“The ’67 Chevelle is my favorite,” says Carl. “I recommend that all young people get started on old cars because it’s very rewarding.”

Thank you Carl, for sharing your cars with us, and for being a great client and friend!
