Introducing a Great Tool for Finding a Retirement Direction: Financial GPS

Jan 22, 2018

Usually when we get in the car to drive from Point A to Point B we have a plan. We know the direction we’re going and how we’re going to get there. We look it up on a map, get directions, or more commonly, we plug it into the GPS for those step-by-step turns.

Retirement shouldn’t be any different. Getting from Point A (where you are) to Point B (where you want to be) will require having a plan. It would be hard to get there without knowing the direction you’re going and how you’re going to get there. Wouldn’t it be great if you had a GPS to give you step-by-step turns to your final goal?

In my time as an advisor, I’ve noticed that most people don’t have a plan for retirement with concrete goals and steps to get there. After many consultations and questions, I decided to put together a book called Financial GPS – Sound Direction for Your Retirement.

It lays out different landmarks for your retirement in a clear and simple way, helping you form a plan instead of “winging it,” as we call it at our office. Financial GPS covers topics such as –

  • Taking a closer look at your money
  • Maximizing Social Security income
  • What you need to know about Medicare
  • Managing risk and expenses
  • Life after retirement
  • Professionals you need on your team to help you

Does that sound helpful? We hope so, because the content has been carefully created based on years of experience advising real people just like you.
